01The deal

Healthy Shippers is a health community for people who build things on the internet. The service at healthyshippers.com is run by Robbin Schuchmann OÜ (registrikood 16388851), Sepapaja 6, 15551 Tallinn, Estonia. VAT EE102493683. In these terms, that’s “we”. You’re “you”.

Creating an account means you accept these terms and the privacy policy. If you don’t, don’t create one. They apply from the moment you sign up.

You’re responsible for what you do with what you read here. That’s not us dodging. It’s how a community of people sharing what worked for them has to work.

03Your account

Sign in with an email address and a password, or with GitHub, Google or X. Keep whichever you use secure, because whoever controls it controls your Healthy Shippers account. One account per person, and don’t hand it to someone else. You need to be at least 18.

Usernames sit at the root of the site, like healthyshippers.com/yourname, so a pile of names are reserved and can’t be claimed. We can also reclaim a username that impersonates a person, company or provider.

04What you post stays yours

Your posts, experiments, notes and metrics belong to you. We don’t claim ownership of any of it.

To run the service we need permission to store it and show it to the people you chose. So: you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display your content, strictly to operate Healthy Shippers and only within the visibility you set. That covers a feed, a search result or a preview link. Delete it and the licence ends, apart from copies in backups until those roll off.

Anything you publish publicly can be seen, quoted and screenshotted. We can’t un-ring that bell, which is a reason to think before you make something public.

Aggregate research is separate and opt-in. Publishing a post doesn’t put your data in a report. See the privacy policy.

05Connected accounts

Connecting WHOOP or Oura is optional. When you connect one you’re telling us to fetch data on your behalf, and you confirm you’re allowed to. Connect accounts that are actually yours.

Your relationship with that provider runs on their terms and their privacy policy, not ours. We don’t control their API, their uptime, or what they change. If a provider changes or drops an integration, we may have to as well. Disconnect at any time, from our settings or theirs; what we do with provider data is in the privacy policy.

Data from a wearable is an estimate produced by a consumer device. It can be wrong. Treat it as a signal, not a measurement.

06House rules

Short list. This is a community of builders, not a moderation project.

Do

• Say what you actually tried and what actually happened, including when it did nothing.
• Be clear about what’s your experience, what’s your device’s data, and what’s published research.
• Be decent to people who sleep badly, miss workouts, or look different from you.

Don’t

• Give medical advice, or tell someone to stop taking their medication.
• Present anecdote as science, or fabricate data.
• Post someone else’s health data, or scrape other shippers' profiles.
• Promote eating disorders, extreme restriction, or anything else likely to hurt someone.
• Sell supplements, spam, or run undisclosed sponsored content. Ads are labelled or they don’t exist.
• Harass, impersonate, or abuse people.
• Attack the service: no automated scraping, no probing for holes without telling us, no attempts to read data that isn’t yours.

We can remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules. We’ll tell you why when we do, barring the obvious exceptions.

07Sponsors, ads and money

Nothing on Healthy Shippers costs money today. There is no payment processor and nothing to buy. If paid features ever exist, we’ll set out the pricing and the refund rules before you can pay for anything.

A small number of relevant sponsors may fund this eventually. The rule is simple.

We don’t run advertising targeted on health data.

08The code

The code isn’t public. There is no repository you can read, and nothing here is released under an open-source licence. All rights are reserved: nobody is granted the right to copy it, change it, or run their own copy.

That may change. If the code is ever published, this section will say where it is and which licence it carries. Until then, treat the absence as deliberate rather than as an oversight.

09Changes, and ending it

This is an early product built in public. Things will break, features will change, and some will be removed. We don’t promise uptime, or that any particular feature will still be here next month. If we’re going to shut down something that holds your data, you get reasonable notice and a way to get your data out first.

We can update these terms. Material changes get announced before they take effect, and the date at the top changes. Keep using the service after that and you’ve accepted the new version. If you don’t like it, delete your account. That’s always available: from your settings, and it cascades through profile, metrics, raw provider data, goals, experiments, posts and everything keyed to your account. Details in the privacy policy.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other people at risk, or exposes us to legal trouble. Where it’s not an emergency, we’ll warn you first and give you a chance to export your data.

10The formal bit

The service is provided as-is and as-available. We don’t warrant that it’ll be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any metric shown is accurate. Much of it comes from third-party devices we don’t control.

To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or any decision you made about your health based on this site. Where we are liable, our total liability is capped at the greater of what you paid us in the previous twelve months, or €100.

None of that limits liability which can’t be limited by law: death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer. If you’re a consumer in the EU or UK, you keep every right the law gives you, whatever this section says.

These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about the service. They’re governed by Estonian law, and disputes go to the courts of Estonia. If you’re a consumer, that doesn’t take away your right to bring a claim where you live.

If a court decides one clause here doesn’t hold, the rest still does. If we don’t enforce something straight away, we haven’t given up the right to. You can’t transfer your account or these terms to someone else; we can transfer them if the project moves to a new operator, and we’ll tell you if that happens.
